This is where COVA's Human Performance Lab sets itself apart. Our biomechanical assessment is one of the most comprehensive available outside of a sports science facility — and it's tailored to your history, your goals, and where you want to be in 10, 20, and 30 years.

What we measure:
Strength & Joint Function Using a hand-held dynamometer, we assess grip strength — one of the most validated markers of longevity — as well as strength and imbalance at specific joints, selected based on your medical history and goals.

Range of Motion An inclinometer measures joint mobility across your whole body, identifying restrictions that increase injury risk or limit performance.
​
Movement Quality We assess posture and functional movement patterns including the squat and deadlift hinge — the two movements that matter most for long-term independence. How you load, brace, and move under the demands of daily life tells us more than any single-joint test.
​
Balance We assess both your ability to hold a stable position and your ability to control your body while moving, changing direction, and absorbing force. Together, these measures reveal how well your nervous system, muscles, and joints are communicating — and where breakdowns in stability may be quietly increasing your injury risk.

Longevity Benchmarks We include validated longevity markers — measures that predict health outcomes decades into the future.

Muscular Endurance Endurance testing identifies how long your muscles can sustain effort — a key factor in both injury prevention and day-to-day resilience.

Power & Asymmetry — Force Plate Testing Using professional-grade force plates, we measure power output via countermovement jump and mid-thigh pull assessments. Force plate data also identifies left-right asymmetry — one of the most sensitive and often overlooked predictors of injury risk. Imbalances that feel invisible in daily life show up clearly in the data.
